May 13th

My life so far has been good, living with my mum and dad and their humans, Steve and Tracey. I was born on the 24th February this year and I have three sisters and one brother. This week has been quite exciting, with Steve and Tracey bringing a selection of humans home for us to choose. Two of my sisters got first pick even though Dad had promised me - but he's been at the vets getting neutered so things have gone to the dogs. I haven't even had my 'birds and bees' talk. When I asked dad about it he just muttered something about 'balls' and turned his back on me. Dunno what's up with him.

So when Denise turned up with her mum I thought I would look her over first and decided I would like her. You have to be really careful 'cos humans are for life you know... Well I set her a couple of tests and she passed with flying colours, I think she will be trainable. She managed to scratch my itch in just the right spot behind my ear but was a bit slower with my belly - and she didn't laugh when I fell off the settee. Just to make sure I climbed on her knee and gave her the 'eyes' (well it worked for Antonio Banderas in Shrek), and of course it worked for me too. Denise gave me my name there and then, 'JANGO', and it was great to lord it over my sister and brother who don't have a human or a name yet!

So Steve got my things together and off we went in the car - red - my favourite colour.
